With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, John has recently rejoined GF Hotels & Resorts as Chief Operating Officer. Alongside President & COO, Owned Division, Vineet Nayyar, John oversees day-to-day operations and the company's senior leadership team. With a reputation for excellence in hospitality, his focus includes, but is not limited to, increasing revenue and enhancing customer satisfaction. He executes strategic growth initiatives and leverages innovative marketing to advance GF both operationally and administratively.
John served as Regional Vice President of Operations for the company over a decade ago and was most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Real Hospitality Group, where he oversaw assets worth $2 billion and a total top line of $600 million. Under his leadership, the company grew from a start-up to impressively acquiring over 100 properties, representing brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG. John's dedication and expertise propelled the company to become the 13th largest third-party operator in the US. When the company was bought, he was instrumental in the successful marketing process and final sale.
John earned a Bachelor's in Travel Tourism and Commercial Recreation from the University of North Carolina. He resides in Annapolis with his wife, Kristyn, and their dog, Miles. As a sports enthusiast, John is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
