Marcus joins GF Hotels & Resorts with over 30 years of experience in hospitality and restaurant management. He is an established leader who holds a wealth of knowledge surrounding industry ownership, management and advisory. Marcus’ input and involvement is a significant step toward the company’s commitment to enhancing and expanding food and beverage options throughout the entire portfolio. His responsibilities include working closely with the senior executive operations team to address each property’s food and beverage needs, with a strong focus on revenue and profit management.
Before joining GF, Marcus served in operational leadership roles for prominent restaurant and hospitality groups, overseeing the development, operations and financial management for a diverse portfolio of hospitality spaces. As Director of Restaurants for a top hospitality consulting firm, he oversaw a wide variety of assets, leading one hotel to an award-winning $20 million food and beverage operation. Marcus has earned accolades from Best Rooftop Bar in Chicago, Top 10 Best Rooftop Bars in the Country and Best New Italian Restaurant by the Chicago Tribune.
Marcus currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his fiancé and Labrador, Elvis. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his son who goes to college in Boston.
