Mr. Callan joined GF Hotel’s & Resorts as Vice President of Operations in 2020 and brings over 32 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. The positions that he has held previously include: Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Operations, Regional Director of Operations, General Manager and various other leadership positions at the hotel property level.
Mr. Callan has an extensive knowledge of hotel & resort operations at all levels through full-service & focus-service properties. He is known for demonstrating proficiency in staffing, culture, training & development, budgeting, property renovations, new construction and team building. Mr. Callan is a very passionate leader with a high attention to detail which is indicative of the overall quality results achieved by the hotel leadership teams.
Prior to joining GF Hotel’s & Resorts, Mr. Callan created the platform and infrastructure for Global Hotel Group upon joining to be an approved management company for Hilton, Marriott and IHG, which grew the portfolio to over 40 properties. Primary objective was to always recruit and retain the right team leaders & team members which creates a positive culture for each of the hotel's to produce the very best results. For the past 3 years Mr. Callan has been a part of The Hilton All-Suites Brand Task Force Committee which met through out the year to review standards and work on growing the brand to be better positioned in the respective markets as well as review brand standards. Mr. Callan also handled the relationships with the key brand partners for all of the hotel’s owned and managed for the company.
Mr. Callan also worked with Alliance Hospitality Management where he held the position as Regional Director of Operations, overseeing such brands as Marriott, Hilton, Choice and IHG. Mr. Callan started his hospitality career with Marriott International and he brings a background of solid leadership and operational expertise with numerous national lodging brands. Mr. Callan resides outside of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and family.
