Jon Kapit joined Access Point Financial (APF) almost two years ago with over 24 years of hospitality, real estate, and finance experience. He currently serves as Managing Director of Investments where he is focused on the oversight of APF’s $3.4B investment portfolio which includes senior, mezzanine and cap ex loans, preferred equity investments and CMBS bonds.
Prior to joining APF, Mr. Kapit was the Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Peachtree Hotel Group where he focused on the asset management of originated and acquired notes backed primarily by hotels, and also oversaw real estate dispositions and investor reporting. Before that, Jon was a Senior Vice President in the real estate investing and servicing segment at Starwood Property Trust / LNR Partners. Additionally, he was a Director at HotelAVE, where he focused on a variety of asset management and advisory initiatives. Jon also served as an Assistant Vice President on TriMont Real Estate Advisors’ hotel team and spent seven years at Lehman Brothers in a variety of general finance and real estate-related roles.
Jon has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan as well as an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He has also completed multiple advanced certification programs at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
