With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, John recently rejoined GF Hotels & Resorts as Chief Operating Officer. Alongside Vineet Nayyar, President & COO, Owned Division, he oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and senior leadership team. Known for his commitment to excellence in hospitality, John focuses on increasing revenue, enhancing customer satisfaction, driving strategic growth initiatives, and leveraging innovative marketing strategies to advance GF both operationally and administratively..
John previously served as Regional Vice President of Operations for GF more than a decade ago and most recently held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Real Hospitality. There, he oversaw assets valued at $2 billion and generated a total top-line revenue of $600 million. Under his leadership, the company grew from a startup to a portfolio of more than 100 properties representing leading brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG. His dedication and expertise helped position the company as the 13th largest third-party hotel operator in the United States. When the company was acquired, John played an instrumental role in the successful marketing process and final sale.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in Travel Tourism and Commercial Recreation from the University of North Carolina. He resides in Annapolis and, as a passionate sports enthusiast, is an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.
