Scott Derby brings more than 20 years of hospitality leadership experience to GF Hotels & Resorts, with an extensive background in food and beverage operations across full-service hotels, luxury resorts, and independent restaurants. Throughout his career, Scott has developed a strong reputation for elevating dining experiences, optimizing operational performance, and implementing innovative food and beverage concepts that enhance guest satisfaction and drive profitability.
Prior to joining GF Hotels & Resorts, Scott held corporate leadership positions with Ascent Hospitality Management, Hawkeye Hotels & Restaurants, and Gemstone Hotels & Resorts, overseeing food and beverage operations across large, diverse portfolios. His experience includes managing multimillion-dollar operations, developing destination restaurant and bar concepts, leading hotel openings and repositioning initiatives, and establishing operational standards that improve efficiency, service consistency, and financial performance.
Scott is the proud father to three grown daughters, loves playing golf every chance he gets, enjoys going to the gym, and is incredibly passionate about hospitality.
