Jay joined GF Hotels & Resorts as Chief Investment Officer in April 2021, bringing nearly 30 years of industry knowledge and experience to the already dynamic team. Prior to joining GF, Jay served as Senior Vice President, Investments and Development, at Auro Hotels in Greenville, SC, where he was involved with hotel and land acquisitions, feasibility, due diligence, asset management and divestitures. Before joining Auro, a successor to JHM Hotels, he had a previous tenure at GF preceded by AMC Delancey Group in a hotel asset management role. Prior to that he held multiple corporate positions with Marriott International including information technology, revenue management, competitive analysis, and sales & marketing analysis.
Jay began his hospitality career as a college student behind the front desk at the Hampton Inn in Charlottesville, VA, followed by Business & Marketing Manager at The Clifton, a luxury country inn and restaurant. He attended the University of Virginia where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce before earning his Master of Management in Hospitality from the Cornell Hotel School.
Jay resides in Greenville, SC, with his wife and two daughters. During his free time he takes care of his dogs, serves at his church and plays golf.
