Jeff is Chief Development Officer for GF Hotels and Resorts, based out of Philadelphia, PA. He is responsible for hotel acquisitions and dispositions, consulting engagement, special asset assignments, asset management and new development for hospitality properties throughout the country. In addition to leading the acquisition efforts for the company, Jeff also negotiates franchise agreements, assists lenders in the sale of hotels and oversees third party management contracts.
Over his tenure with GF Hotels and Resorts, Jeff’s roles have included property development and acquisitions, business development, operations, accounting, and consulting. He has been involved with various types of hospitality projects including resorts, conference centers, full and select service hotels, food and beverage establishments and golf courses.
Jeff joined GF Hotels and Resorts in 1990, in the capacity of a regional controller. His experience encompasses all facets from financing, to takeovers, to pre-opening, to turnaround opportunities for distressed properties and negotiation of most contract types. With extensive contacts within financial institutions, the legal community, various hospitality consultants and hotel and real estate brokers, Jeff has built a reputable network within the industry.
Jeff has served as a receiver for hotel properties, serving as an independent third party to protect the value of the property. In this capacity, he has been personally involved in hundreds of receivership assignments and was individually named as the court appointed in 38 different states. He understands the importance of preserving, stabilizing and increasing asset values for distressed property turnarounds. Whether advising on financing, foreclosures, hostile takeovers, or negotiated transitional handovers, Jeff employs skillful negotiation and diplomacy to preserve asset value.
